Panu Posti'Afgrund' is a Swedish band started in 2006 by Andreas Baier, Olle Ferner and Patrik Howe.
One and a half months later they recorded the 5-track demo CD "Hjärtslag och Djupa Andetag"("Heartbeats and Deep Breaths"). The demo CD received a good response and a further one and a half months later they were contacted by the polish label Lifestage Productions to sign for an album and a split cd.
In autumn 2006 the drummer Olle Ferner decided to quit the band, so the Finnish (17 yrs at that time) Panu Posti joined the band for the 'Grind Tour de Pologne VI' in Poland; since then he kept on being in the band.
In spring 2007 the band recorded a session of tracks for the debut album "Svarta Dagar"("Black Days") and the split cd with Relevant Few.
In autumn 2007, for the European tour "Grind Galore" with Squash Bowels, the band decided to do a little line-up change; Pat moved behind the 6 strings and an Italian friend of the band, Enrico Marchiori, joins the band as bass-player. In January 2008 the band joined forces with the American label Emetic records re-releasing "Svarta Dagar" and the tracks from the split cd remixed at Finnvox Studio (Rotten Sound etc) by Panu Posti and remastered by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer).
In May 2008 the band gets on the other side of the ocean for an American tour; after that Pat had to leave the band. The trio is planning to come out with a new album in winter 2008.
