Ross Emil "Tex" Erwin (December 22, 1885 - April 5, 1963) was a Major League Baseball catcher for six seasons with the Detroit Tigers (1908), Brooklyn Superbas (1910-14), and Cincinnati Reds (1914). Born in Forney, Texas, Tex played in 276 major league games and had a .236 batting average and a .326 on base percentage with 150 hits, 82 bases on balls, 70 runs scored, 70 RBIs, 37 extra base hits, and 10 stolen bases. Erwin died in 1953 in Rochester, New York.
