History
The channel launched on October 17, 1997 and was known as "Toronto Star TV" before changing its name to ShopTV Canada on April 14, 2003. This was done in the hopes of expanding across Canada.
As a shopping television service, ShopTV Canada is exempted from
Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) licensing.External links
