Sir Henry Craik, 1st Baronet

Sir Henry Craik, 1st Baronet, PC, KCB (18 October 1846 – 16 March 1927) [http://www.angeltowns.com/town/peerage/gcommons1.htm Historical list of MPs: G (part 2)] ] was a Scottish Unionist politician.

He was Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow and Aberdeen Universities from 1906 to 1918, and for the Combined Scottish Universities [http://www.angeltowns.com/town/peerage/scommons2.htm Historical list of MPs: S (part 2)] ] from 1918 until his death in 1927. He was Secretary of the Scottish Education Department from 1885 to 1904.Supplement to the London Gazette Issue 33119 published on the 29 December 1925. Page 2 of 12] ]

He was made a Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in 1888 [Gazette Issue 25773 published on the 5 January 1888. Page 123 of 140] , and promoted to Knight Commander (KCB) in 1897. Family

Craik married on 17 December 1873 to Fanny Esther Duffield, daughter of Charles Duffield. They had two children: George Lillie (1874–1929) and Henry Duffield (1876–1955).
