MIU is accredited by the Ministry of Education in Mongolia and it is a 100 percent foreign foundation endorsed by the Mongolian government. All courses are taught in English and most of the faculty come from abroad.
Contents
History
In November 2001, MIU foundation committee established an international university in Mongolia under the approval and consent of former President of Mongolia Bagabandi. In 2002, Mongolia International University opened with 100 students. Dr. Dong Yeon Won was appointed as the first president of MIU.
In June 2006, MIU celebrated its first graduation ceremony. Also, in 2006, Mr. Oh Moon Kwon was appointed as the second president; and Dr. Dong Yeon Won as honorary president.

Mongolia International University has established a multi-cultural campus of over six hundred students from seven countries include Russia, China, South Korea, Afghanistan, Nigeria. International students comprise 30% of the student body.

Since it is a very small university there is a very good student community as well as several student run clubs.
