Cachar Congress

Cachar Congress, was a regional political party in the Barak Valley, Assam, India. CC was formed ahead of the 2001 Assam assembly elections by a group of Indian National Congress dissidents. The founders of CC were dissatisfied with the distribution of tickets for election and the leadership of Santosh Mohan Dev, who is a Veteran leader of the Indian National Congress.

The president of CC was Anil Chandra Dey.

CC contested the 2004 Lok Sabha elections.

On November 17 2004 CC merged with Bharatiya Janata Party. Sources claimed that CC had 520 members at the time of the merger.
