Dzhublyk

Dzhublyk, also transliterated as Jublyk (Ukrainian: Джублик IPA2|'dʒubɫɪk) is a Greek-Catholic Marian sanctuary near the villages Nyzhnye Bolotnye and Vilkhivka in western Ukraine. The sanctuary is known for the Marian apparition of Our Lady and Holy Family. Dzhublyk is situated nearby the villages Nyzhnye Bolotnye and Vilkhivka in Irshava raion of Zakarpattya region , also known as Transcarpathia. In years following the revelation since August 2002 an ever increasing number of pilgrims arrive to Dzhublyk, with some 50 buses a day.

Virgin Mary appeared to two girls: 10 year old Olena Kuruts from Vilkhivka and her friend 9 year old Mariana Kobal, whose father (Petro) is a Ukrainian Greek-Catholic priest. Father Petro joined the girls on the third day. During the following apparition, on Saturday, August 31, Mother of God asked the girls to inform the church authorities about the fact that it was namely Her, Mother of God that came and asks here, on the place of revelation to pray. On the question of father Petro "Whom of bishops to inform about this" Mary answered - "The elderly vladyka Marhitych" and who was Bishop of Mukachevo at that time. Remarkable enough is that bishop Marhitych died one year later September 7, 2003, 83 years old during the archi-hierarchic church service started at 11 am, for which he came to bless the new throne. A women's monastery is being built in Dzhublyk. In one of the houses functions men's monastery of "Apparition of Holy Family", where in the Chapel of Saint John the Baptist, the copy of the Icon of God's Mother of Jerusalem is kept.

Chronicle of Dzhublyk apparitions

* August 27, 2002 near the water-spring at Dzhublyk appears Mother of God to two girls Olena and Mariana: who see her everyday and talk to her. The girls claim that the liturgies are often attended by the Holy Family - Jesus, Mary, Joseph.

* "I came to help" - says Mother of God through the girls. "I want to raise the authority of priests in the people, unite this divided nation and unite the Church."

* Holy Virgin asks to pray rosary and to build a chapel on the place of Her apparition: so that people could come here for pilgri. Also Virgin Mary as to build here a hospital.
* Visible signs on the sun - for those who do not believe in this. The sun performs a "dance", rotates around its axis, changing its colours. Besides that, on the place of revelation, often appears a rainbow - visible sign of union between God and people.

* "Message, that is passed by girls from Nyzhnye Bolotnye - "is in spirit of God's Mother", - so it is regarded at Apostolic Nunciature in Ukraine (according to the words of Bishop Marhitych).

* Pope John Paul II blessed the girls and Ukraine, after the girls meet him in Vatican.

* From Lviv to Dzhublyk, the Stations of the Cross road of Unity is made. Crosses are set up on hills from Dzhublyk to Lviv. The first cross in Lviv (at "Vysokyy Zamok" - High Castle Hill) and the 15th in Dzhublyk bleed.
