Radio Hampshire is an independent local radio station for Southampton and Southern Hampshire. Launched on 5 September 1999 as SouthCity FM, the station license was acquired by Southampton Football Club in 2004, where it was christened as The Saint. It was sold in July 2007 to Town & Country Broadcasting and rebranded Radio Hampshire from 6 August 2007.

Broadcast from modern studios within St Mary's Stadium, Radio Hampshire combines adult contemporary music with information and breaking news from Southampton FC, along with live commentary of all friendly, championship and cup games.

Unlike other radio stations tied to football clubs, Radio Hampshire is broadcast 24 hours, 7 days a week on 107.8 MHz FM, DAB digital radio and online.

ale to Town & Country Broadcasting

On July 26 2007, Southampton FC confirmed it had sold the station to South Wales based radio group Town & Country Broadcasting - headed up by lifelong Southampton Football Club fan Jason Bryant (ex Talksport and Virgin Radio).

Radio Hampshire became the sixth station in the Town & Country portfolio, joining the likes of 102.5 Radio Pembrokeshire, 102.1 Swansea Bay Radio and 106.3 Bridge FM in its ranks.
