ntupdate =Leonard James "Lenny" Pidgeley (born 7 February 1984) is an English football goalkeeper who is currently at Woking on loan from Millwall.
Initially signed up by Chelsea since the opening of the 2002-03 season, he was loaned out to Watford between September 2003 and May 2004, a deal initially intended to last for two months, but extending to the end of the season. His debut Watford match was against Crewe Alexandra, which they won 1-0 - in which he participated as a substitute for the dismissed
Alec Chamberlain .Save for a short, three-match spell at Millwall, Pidgeley spent the whole of the 2005-06 season at Chelsea. He spent the season 3rd choice behind
Petr Čech andCarlo Cudicini in the pecking order at Chelsea. He was given the number 40 shirt by Chelsea, in reference to his time at Watford when they beat Watford 4-0 in an FA cup match, with Pidgeley in goal. He made his first starting appearance for the club in the last match of the season against Newcastle atSt James' Park , after Cudicini had suffered an injury in pre-match training. Pidgeley had previously made his debut for Chelsea coming on as a substitute for Cudicini in the final home game of the 2004-05 Premiership season againstCharlton Athletic .Millwall signed the player on a free transfer on 9 June 2006, and went on to be number one choice under
Nigel Spackman andWillie Donachie . Due to his 'loutish' behaviour on and off the field he has been placed on a free transfer and this has been cemented by Millwall signingDavid Forde .fact|date=August 2008In the DVD, 'Blue Revolution - Chelsea The Movie' (2007), Pidgeley is seen in the dressing room when
John Terry is playing darts. Terry explains that the squad sometimes play 'round the clock' with each other when they have spare time. The video shows Pidgeley to be the best darts player in the squad. His 160 points beats 2nd placed Terry by 5 points. The team also have a 'wall of shame' section of the scoreboard for players who score 30 points or under during a game, where midfielderJoe Cole and goalkeeperCarlo Cudicini feature.fact|date=August 2008Pidgeley has previously been selected for the England under-21 squad.
In August 2008, he signed a one month loan with Woking.cite news
