Fabio Filice is a Canadian-born Canadian Football League player, currently with the Calgary Stampeders.

College

Played five seasons (2000-04) with the McMaster Marauders, playing in 39 games...Garnered two All-Canadian selections and a was an OUA All-Star on three occasions...Was a member of four straight Yates Cup Championship teams...2004 Started all eight games at offensive tackle...Named both a first team All-Canadian and First Team OUA All-Star...Helped anchor an offensive line that generated a nation-leading 2,555 rushing yards, the second most in OUA history...2003 Played in all eight games during the regular season and was named Second Team All-Canadian and First Team OUA All-Star...Anchored an offensive line that provided the protection for two OUA All-Star backs in Kyle Pyear and Jesse Lumsden as McMaster rushed for 2,807, the highest single season total in OUA history…2002 Played in all eight games during the regular season and was a First Team OUA All-Star...2001 Played in seven games during the regular season…Named Second Team OUA All-Star…2000 Played in all eight games during his freshman season.

2005

Selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the second round (15th overall) in the CFL Canadian Draft…Missed the majority of the season with an injury…Made his CFL debut in the Tiger-Cats 43-21 loss at Ottawa, dressing as a Guard (7/10/05)…Played Guard in the remaining four games, earning a start at RG versus Montreal in the season finale.

2006

Played in all 18 games primarily as an offensive lineman and special teams player during his second season with Hamilton…Started 6 games at Right Guard with the Ticats.

2007

*Attended training camp with the Tiger-Cats and released on June 24.
*Signed as a free agent with the Toronto Argonauts on July 31, 2007.

Family

Fabio is the son of Cosimo and Grace Filice and has two younger brothers named Marcello and Roberto and one younger sister named Nadia. He is currently finishing his MBA in Finance at McMaster and is actively involved with the McMaster Children’s Hospital.
