Greg Cooper was an
Indianapolis (United States ) radio personality from 1983 to 1993. He was the last voice heard on Indianapolis radio station WNAP prior to its call letter change to WEAG in 1986. WEAG subsequently changed to WKLR in 1988 and morphed from a classic rock station to an oldies format. Cooper transitioned from WNAP through to WKLR eventually becoming a radio traffic reporter for WKLR flying with legendary Indianapolis personality 'Big John' Gillis of WIBC. Both Cooper and Gillis survived two highly publicized, aircraft crashes, once in a helicopter and once in a Cessna fixed wing aircraft. Cooper and Gillis were also featured on CNN for their participation and successful resolution to a police chase of a convicted fellon along Interstate 74 south and east of Indianapolis. The video of this chase has been used across the country in law enforcement training classes.Cooper now resides in Carmel, Indiana and works as a real estate broker and public speaker. In addition, Cooper has now become a media voice for the Real Estate industry in Indianapolis appearing in print publications and on television and radio. Most recently he appeared on WIBC radio's economic round table hosted by Steve Simpson on October 6, 2008.References
