According to police sources, in the late 1990s and in the early years of 2000s, he was involved in the racketeering and the drug-trafficking, but he denied all of accusation, claiming for the press, that he is actually an art collector. The police accused him for being one of the leaders of the criminal clan "Brothers Kanjevac" [MUP Serbia] .
Murder attempts
*On September 15. 2002. he got shot together with his companion Igor Petrović - "Petra" in the cafe "Blue" on the St. Sava square in the Bulevar Nemanjica neighborhood of Nis [Politika] . The police accused and arrested for shooting alleged member of the rival clan, Nenad Petrović - "Pesa Bokser", but he was later released by the court because of lack of evidence.
*On October 24. 2002. anbomb exploded near his apartment, but he survived. The police arrested alleged member of the rival clan, Milan Šević for disposing of the bomb. He was later condemned by the court.
*In 2003. he was busted in the "Sabre" police action, but he was later released by the court because of lack of evidence.
