Route 190, began in February 1991 to replace the withdrawn section of route 290 between Richmond "Bus Station" and West Brompton "Empress State Building" (Mondays to Saturdays).
Before being operated by Metroline, it was operated by London United (now Transdev), at their Stamford Brook garage, using single-deck
Leyland Lynx .Dennis Dart s replaced the Leyland Lynxs in1994 .In
1995 , a Sunday service was gained with double deck operation was introduced from Southall's London Buslines. The whole allocation was transferred to Armchair, at their Brentford Garage, in late 1996 using Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointer 2s in the smart orange and white livery.
Metroline bought Armchair in
2005 , initially under a different name until2007 and now most of the buses have been painted in Metroline's red and blue livery. Recently Alexander ALX 400s and Plaxton Presidents have been brought for the route.Current route
