Hammersmith tube station

Hammersmith tube station

There are two London Underground stations called Hammersmith:

* Hammersmith tube station (Piccadilly and District Lines)
* Hammersmith tube station (Hammersmith & City Line)

The two stations are separated by Hammersmith Broadway. As the crow flies, they are about 60m (200ft) apart door to door, although the positions of the pedestrian crossings on the Broadway makes it more like 135m (450ft) on foot. See [http://www.multimap.com/maps/?hloc=GB|hammersmith%20broadway#t=l&
] for a close-up map. The north of the two roundels is the Hammersmith & City line station, the south one is the Piccadilly and District lines station.

The following station, also in Hammersmith, was served by the Metropolitan Railway until 1906 when it closed:

* Hammersmith (Grove Road) station

Hammersmith railway station, later renamed Hammersmith & Chiswick, closed in 1917.
