Regiunea Bihor

Regiunea Bihor (Bihor region) was one of the 1950 newly established administrative divisions of the People's Republic of Romania, set after the soviet style.

History

The capital of the region was Oradea, and its territory comprised an area similar to the nowadays Bihor County. In 1952 it changed its name into Oradea, and in 1956 after the dissolution of Arad region it receives rayons Ineu, Criş and Gurahonţ of it. In 1960 it changes its name to Crişana.
