Big Dismal was a Christian rock band. Rolling Stone named Big Dismal one of "Five Christian Bands on the Rise" and the band's hit single "Reality" hit #3 at Christian Rock radio. Music videos were made for their songs "Rainy Day" and "Remember (I.O.U.)". The latter song was used in the Chris Benoit tribute edition of "Raw".

The 'Believe' album for Wind Up Records received critical acclaim but failed to sell well or obtain UK release. Frontman Eric Durrance has announced that the band have split. Eric Durrance has gone solo with the other band members moving on to new projects
