owner=The Capitol Grand Tower is a proposed
residential skyscraper located on the northeast corner of 12th and J Streets in downtown Sacramento,California . The proposal stands at 965 feet (294 m),citeweb|title=Skyscraperpage.com|url=http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=107705|accessdate=2007-08-14] which is significantly taller than Sacramento's current tallest building, the Wells Fargo Center.History
The tower was originally proposed as a 701 foot (213 m) tower containing 56 floors.citeweb|title=Emporis.com - Capitol Grand Tower|url=http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=capitolgrandtower-sacramento-ca-usa|accessdate=2007-08-14|Publisher=Emporis.com] These floors would contain 280
condominiums , 200 hotel rooms, and 50,000 square feet (4,650 square meter) of office space. However, this version was superseded by a taller 965 foot (294 m) proposal. This current version contains 70 floors with the roof the the building at 771 feet (235 m) high. A 194 foot (59 m) spire on the roof pushes the building height to 965 feet (294 m). If built, the Capitol Grand Tower could be tallest building in Sacramento by a wide margin.ee also
