Somewhere between the intense guitar style and infectious personality of Matt Nathanson and the creative pedal effects of Keller Williams and Howie Day you'll find Todd Martin. This northeastern singer/songwriter has the vocal power of Barenaked Ladies front-man Steven Page and the voice character of Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz. Todd's broad range of influences including Damien Rice, Rockwell Church, Neil Young, and Ryan Adams, have inspired him to make music that overflows with the passion that words alone can't convey. The solo acoustic performance he delivers is a must see. This one man entertainment package stands high above many in a crowded world of male singer/songwriters
A self-taught guitar player, Martin first picked up the guitar when he was 15, but eventually pushed it aside in favor of a hockey stick throughout high school. It wasn't until college at Villanova University that Martin began to realize his enthusiasm for playing and love for songwriting.
Martin returned to Philadelphia in late 2005 after a three-year residency in Boston. While in Boston, Martin had the good fortune of sharing the stage with impressive company including Matt Nathanson, Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, and Angie Aparo. Martin also recorded his second 2005 release, TIME FOR GOOD, with several members of Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers. The album was released in September and has already outsold the other discs in the Todd Martin Music collection.
