Jim Marshall (broadcasting executive)

James David Marshall (born January 28, 1962) is an American broadcasting executive. He is currently the Florida Regional Manager for the WAY-FM Network.

Jim and his wife, Reba, have four children. They currently reside in Stuart, FL.

Industry Involvement

Marshall has been involved in broadcasting since July, 1978, beginning his career in his hometown of Fairmont, WV. From the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, he worked for the Moody Broadcasting Network in Chicago, hosting nationally-syndicated radio programs. In 1996, he accepted the role of general manager of WMHK in Columbia, SC. During his tenure there, WMHK became the first South Carolina radio station to be awarded the coveted Marconi Award for Excellence in Broadcasting from the National Association of Broadcasters. He assumed the role of Regional Manager of the WAY-FM Network in 2005.

Marshall is a board member of the Gospel Music Association, and he serves as the chairman of the Chistian Music Broadcasters Educational Committee, which produces one of the largest radio seminars in the nation each spring.

Trivia

Marshall's voice is heard on Sirius Satellite Radio. He is one of the imaging voices for Spirit 66, one of the network's inspirational channels.
