Anna van Egmont (Grave, March 1533 —
Breda ,March 24 1558 ) was a wealthy Dutch heiress who became the first wife ofWilliam the Silent ,Prince of Orange . As the only child of Maximiliaan of Egmont and Françoise de Lannoy, she was "suo jure " Countess ofBuren and Lady of Egmond. She was also Countess ofLingen and ofLeerdam , and Lady ofIJsselstein , ofBorssele , of Grave, ofKranendonk , ofJaarsveld , ofKortgene , ofSint Maartensdijk , and ofOdijk .In 1551 she married
William the Silent in Buren, and thereby he earned the titles Lord of Egmond and Count of Buren. By William she had three children:* Countess Maria von Nassau (
22 November ,1553 – after23 July ,1555 ), died in infancy
*Philip William, Prince of Orange (19 December ,1554 –20 February ,1618 ), marriedEleonora of Bourbon-Condé , no issue
