Wyke is a village in Surrey, England. It is an ecclesiastical parish and lies within the civil parish of Normandy. [ [http://www.cofeguildford.org.uk/index.cfm?fuseaction=places.content&cmid=231 "Wyke"] , Diocese of Guildford]

Wyke appears in Domesday Book of 1086 as "Wucha". It was held by Godric from (Turald) Thorold from Roger de Montgomery. It was part of Burpham manor and was valued there. It had 2 ploughs, woodland worth 3 hogs. [ [http://www.gwp.enta.net/surrnames.htm Surrey Domesday Book] ]

*James Stirling, former Governor of Western Australia is buried in St Marks Churchyard in Wyke.
