Frank W. Springstead High School

Frank W. Springstead High School is a public high school located in Spring Hill, FL. The school's mascot is the Eagle, and it is the rival of nearby Nature Coast Technical High School. It was opened in 1976 and named after the developer Frank W. Springstead. In 2006 Springstead High School was ranked as #891 in Newsweek America's Best High Schools which is based on their Advanced Placement test scores. Springstead High School was chosen to become the only International Baccalaureate school in Hernando County. This program will start in the 2008-2009 school year.

Community

Spring Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 69,078 at the 2000 census, and was estimated to be 85,894 in 2005 by the American Community Survey.

Bell Schedule

The school day is composed of eight 35-minute classes. A broad range of course offerings include exceptional student education, career and technical courses and high level academics. The school also has a dual enrollment program through Pasco-Hernando Community College as well as Advanced Placement courses on campus and through Florida Virtual School.
