accessdate=2007-08-04] was the owner of a number of music halls in Britain at the beginning of the twentieth century. Along with Oswald Stoll, he led the employers' side in the 1907 Music Hall strike, which was won by the artistes, musicians and stage hands who were demanding better wages and conditions.
