Twisted Gun Golf Course

Twisted Gun golf course is a Golf Course located in Wharncliffe, WV in Mingo County. The Twisted Golf Course is also on top of a mountain on one the many reclaimed Strip Mine Areas in WV.

Terrain

Since located on a strip mine the terrain is mostly flat with a few humps here and there. The soil is very compact so it makes very good grass growing land. The soil is also good for various ponds and lakes.

*9: Par 4 420 Yds. | 18 Par 5 430 Yds. The course's signature hole(s) are 9/18 which share green (similar to the Saint Andrew's Course) and a sizeable pond. Accompanied by the deep rough there are also very high (about to your thigh) and very thick grass which is not considered Out-Of-Bounds but rather a lateral hazard. Any mishits or misplaced shots will be gobbled up by the grass. Most of the teeing areas, fairways, and greens are covered all around so any overshoot, undershoot, slice, or hook will usually be followed by a one stroke penalty and a lost ball. The course also has a driving range and two practice greens; one with a bunker, one without.
