Speakeasy brands its beers with humorous reference to 1930s
prohibition -eramobsters andorganized crime . Prohibition is one of the more popular local beers in San Francisco, available in approximately 200 bars and restaurants and 1,000 stores in theSan Francisco Bay Area , although bottled beer is available regionally inCalifornia , eleven other states andBritish Columbia as well. Its beers are flavorful and high in alcohol, ranging from approximately 5% to 10% alcohol content by volume. Unlike many others, it does not operate on-site sales, restaurants, or other retail operations except tours by appointment on Fridays, as well as a Friday happy hour that is open to the public. .References
