Origins

Janwari tribe originated from Balochistan that’s why they are called the Janwari Baloch. These people were once the richest people of the Balochistan. This tribe migrated from Balochistan to Sindh province of Current Pakistan, Rajasthan and Kashmir. The reason for migration was the drought in mid 14th Century. They built new towns on the banks of river Indus also called Mehran. The literal meaning of Janwari is Jewel. These people were brave and fought for their home land. The people of Balochistan and Sindh started calling these Chandio families as Janwari (Jewel of Land) because of the sacrifices in the war against aggressors.
