nihongo|"Yurara"|ゆららの月|Yurara no Tsuki is a five-volume shōjo manga series that was published between 2002 and 2005 in Japan by Hakusensha and is currently being released by Viz Media in North America. Both the story and art are done by Chika Shiomi (the manga artist of "Night of the Beasts" and "Canon"). As of March 2008, Volume 4 of "Yurara" has been published in America.

Plot

The story follows Yurara Tsukinowa. Ever since she was little she has been able to see and feel what ghosts felt. Later on she meets two boys in her new class named Mei Tendo and Yako Hoshino. Mei has the power to control demon fire, which is able to burn spirits. Yako has the power to place barriers with water. During the time when she is in danger a spirit envelopes Yurara's body and she becomes a different person, though she retains her memories and most of her personality (though the spirit has a violent temperament). The guardian spirit is in fact one of Yurara's ancestors by the same name (confirmed by her grandfather in Volume 3). Now Yurara, along with Mei and Yako, must capture evil and good spirits to send them to hell or heaven. Yurara finds herself drawn to Mei, but her guardian spirit prefers Yako! Now Yurara must battle ghosts, her feelings, and her guardian spirits feelings as well. Yako has shut himself in now that Yurara and Mei are a couple. However, Mei seems to have acquired another rival when a beautiful boy from Yurara's past returns!

equel

"Rasetsu no Hana" is the sequel to "Yurara"', following Yakou after he joins a "ghost buster" company, whose ace is Rasetsu. Rasetsu is cursed by a powerful evil spirit, and she looks to be the spitting image of Yurara's ghost guardian.
