Davenies School is an independent day school for boys aged 4–13, located in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. Its current headmaster is Mr C. Watson. The School was founded in 1941 and was supposedly an all boys boarding school but was soon changed to a day school. The school takes the 11+ examination and the Common Entrance examination at age 13.
Houses
There are four houses, currently named after famous English explorers (previously named after birds):
- Cook (originally Herons) - Blue
- Shackleton (originally Rooks) - Red
- Scott (originally Swans) - Yellow
- Drake (originally Gulls) - Green
The school offers a wide range of academic subjects, as well as many extra-curricular activities that take place after school.
