Arbo Valdma

Dr. Arbo Valdma (born February 20 1942 in Pärnu, Estonia), an ethnic Estonian, is one of the leading Serbian pianists and piano teachers.

Education

He studied in Tallinn with Bruno Lukk and obtained his doctorate from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied with Nina Emelyanova.

Teaching career

He has been Professor of Piano at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (since 1979) and Faculty of Music in Belgrade (since 1984), Serbia, and in Cologne, Germany (since 1992). He is one of the founding members of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA). Some of his most famous students are: Jasminka Stančul, Rita Kinka, Aleksandar Madžar, Zoltan Peter, Đorđe Milojković, Vladimir Valjarević, Dorian Leljak, Dejan Sinadinović and Søren Nils Eichberg.
