Juliusz Łukasiewicz (1892-1951) was a Polish diplomat.
Supporter of
Józef Piłsudski , involved in thePrometheism project. Member of thePolish Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1 January 1919. As a specialist inPolish-Soviet relations he joined the Eastern Department of the Ministry in 1921. After a year inFrance he returned to the Eastern Department and assumed its leadership from 1922 to 1926. From 1926 to 1929 he was the Polish envoy inRiga ,Latvia ; from 1931-1932 toVienna ,Austria , from 1933-1936 inMoscow ,Soviet Union (ambassador from 1934), from 1936 to 7 November 1939 ambassador inParis , France. Strong opponent ofWładysław Sikorski . Remained on emigration.Further reading
