- Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame
The Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, Inc. (BFHFI), was founded in 1973,
Oakland, California ,United States . It supports and promotes black filmmaking, and preserves the contributions byAfrican American artists both before and behind the camera. It also sponsors advance screenings of films by and about people ofAfrican descent and hosts theOscar Micheaux Award, held each February in Oakland.This is a partial list of inductees:
