Amir H. Ladan also known as A. H. Ladan, was born
December 5 ,1943 inTehran, Iran . He moved toAustria andGermany in 1959 and then to theUnited States in 1964.He is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson in Humanities, and the
University of Illinois Chicago Campus in Political Science. He also attended the Industrial Management Institute (IMI). He established the Defense Organization for Freedom (DOF) inChicago in 1968 to promote Human Rights , Justice and Democracy inIran . Returning to Iran in 1973 he set up DOF as a co-ordinating committee for activities against themonarchy and participated in the Revolution of 1978-79.He was imprisoned by
Khomeini ’s government and placed on death row (photo 2) along with 511 other activists, political leaders and industrialists, 504 were executed and 8 were exiled. He returned to the United States and became a naturalized American. He has written many articles and given talks on American foreign policy, the Middle East, oil and Iran. He also appeared in front of the Congressional Foreign Relation Committee as an expert witness. He is a researcher, writer and a political activist and lives with his wife Zelda in
