Irano-Afghan

Anthropologist Carleton S. Coon described Irano-Afghans in his book "The Races of Europe", as being long-faced, high-headed and nose-hooked. Another characteristic mentioned is tall stature.According to Coon, the Irano-Afghan race is the principal element in the population of Iran, Afghanistan, north-west Pakistan and Turkmenistan. It also comprises parts of the population of India, Palestine, Arabia, north Africa and Europe as a result of migration of Irano-Afghans.Coon related Irano-Afghan to the old Corded type of the Neolithic and Bronze Age.
