A PocketModels Game is a tabletop
strategy game employing pieces assembled from components fromstyrene cards.Pirates of the Spanish Main (PotSM) , with 3-D game elements punched out of styrene cards and assembled to re-create high-seas hijinx.
The first tabletop strategy game employing the name PocketModels,
Star Wars PocketModel Trading Card Game (TCG), was designed by Mike Elliott and Ethan Pasternack. The second PocketModels game isPirates of the Caribbean PocketModels , set for release in October, 2007, and compatible with previous 'Pirates' game expansions.These games have aspects of both miniatures and collectible and trading genres. It is similar to
WizKids ' game Pirates of the Spanish Main which launched the constructible strategy game category (CSG), and refers to the mechanics of creating 3-D game pieces from components that punch out of styrene cards.The Star Wars PocketModel TCG combines WizKids’ CSG legacy with the classic card play of TCGs.
