David Breen (born April 4, 1979 in Waterford, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish footballer who plays for Waterford United. Breen plays as a central-defender.

A very experienced League of Ireland player, Breen has also had spells with Kilkenny City, Cobh Ramblers, two at Waterford United, Wexford Youths as well at junior football in Waterford with Bohemians and Johnville. He joined Athlone Town in August 2010.[1] Breen has won First Division honours with Waterford United and Kilkenny City. He works as assistant-manager of Alfie Hale's Sports Shop.
