CB ,OBE (1892 – 1962) was an officer in theBritish Indian Army duringWorld War II .As part of Paiforce (formerly
Iraqforce ), Brigadier Blaxland commanded the 27th Indian Brigade of theIndian 6th Infantry Division during theAnglo-Soviet invasion of Persia .In 1942, Blaxland was made an acting Lieutenant-General to command Indian XXV Corps but reverted to Major-General in 1943 for his next appointment in
