Its natural
habitat s are montanejuniper woodlands and open areas between 1,300-2,000 m.It is threatened byhabitat loss and was formerly classified asCritically Endangered by theIUCN [BLI (2004)] . Recent research has found that the loss of habitat is not as severe as first feared and the species is downlisted toVulnerable in 2008 [BLI (2008)] .
