The Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) is a professional association .
INCPAS serves to advance the CPA designation by encouraging students and CPA candidates to take the
Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination , and to provide support and services for CPAs from their entry into the workforce through retirement. The Society’s mission is to enhance the professional success of its members while promoting thepublic interest ; to encourage and facilitate the adherence to high ethical and professional standards; to facilitate relationships that will benefit its members; to promote a better understanding of services rendered by CPAs; and to represent the CPA profession.Leadership
Leadership Cabinet provides the Society and its
board of directors with support and feedback on issues, which assist it in strategic planning. Its members participate onproject team s and outreach activities to aid the Society in accomplishing its goals and objectives.Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA) members are the
leaders of tomorrow. Members have the opportunity to interact with Society leadership and further develop professional skills. ELA members regularly participate in student outreach activities.Legislative/Regulatory
The Indiana CPA Society advocates the CPA profession in the
legislative process. Society staff members and volunteers attend Indiana Board of Accountancy meetings as well as state and national meetings with theAICPA , NASBA,IRS and many others. The Society offers grassroots opportunities for CPAs to get involved through the [http://incpas.org/Member/Legislative/LegislativeKeyPerson.aspx Legislative Key Person] program and the CPA-PAC.Quality (Peer) Review
The Society administers the mandatory [http://incpas.org/Public/peer_review/PeerReview.aspx Quality (Peer) Review] program in Indiana to assist INCPAS members in meeting Indiana license and AICPA membership requirements. CPA firms must undergo a peer review once every three years to measure elements of quality control.
Professional Development
CPAs can earn the required continuing professional education (
CPE ) credits through classes offered at INCPAS. Classes are held at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels, and for CPAs in industry INCPAS offers executive education through the [http://www.ccflinfo.org/ccfl/index.asp Center for Corporate Financial Leadership] (CCFL).Programs

:CPAs Lead the Way – A free service that aims to match CPAs in leadership positions with Indiana not-for-profits and civic organizations. The Society acts as a liaison between the organizations and CPAs.
:CPA Day of Service – Annual event connects hundreds of Indiana CPAs and accounting students as they perform community service and help worthwhile organizations.
:CPA to CPA Consultation – Program offered to members putting them in touch with a peer-to-peer network.
:Find a CPA – Online service allows individuals to look for a CPA by company, name, or Indiana county where they reside.
Student Initiatives
The Society works to introduce high school and college students to the CPA profession through the School Key Contact program,
career fair s, classroom presentations and conferences each year.Financial Literacy
The Society helps to enhance
financial literacy among Hoosiers through joint partnerships with local Indiana-based businesses/organizations, as well as through national campaigns such as Feed the Pig and 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy.Public Relations
INCPAS educates the public about the value of the CPA profession through
press releases , articles and columns in business publications andadvertising throughout the state. Members promote the profession by recognizing the best and brightest of their peers through the Society’s annual awards program, CPA Celebration.Publications
