The show was cancelled after the first season, which was shortened in the aftermath of the2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike . Gad has also appeared in an episode of "ER" and is working on films like "The Rocker ", "Crossing Over " and "21". He also as appeared on Broadway in theTony Award -winning role of William Barfeé in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee ". Josh Won the National Forensics League National Tournament Championships in Humorous Interpretation and Original Oratory in 1999. He won for Original Oratory in 1998 as well.He graduated from
