Amanda Hallay (b. 1965,
Ashtabula, Ohio ) is a leading fashion editor and forecaster living inParis ,France and Litchfield County, Connecticut.She is the International Fashion Editor of "Couture" and "Men Mode" magazines in
Hong Kong , and was formerly European Trend Analyst for New York's prestigious Doneger Group, as well as the Paris correspondent for the seminal fashion industry magazine, 'International Textiles'.Hallay was born in Ohio but raised in London, England. She gained her B.A from the
American University of Paris and her M.A fromBath Spa University , England.As well as her work in fashion, Amanda Hallay is also the author of two novels, "FAB!" and "DOLE", which use the comedic form to explore 20th century popular culture.
A regular contributor to a number of arts and culture magazines, Amanda Hallay regularly appears on radio and television as a fashion trend and lifestyle authority, as well as giving popular lectures to university students on 20th century political and social history and its impact on fashion, art, film and music.
Amanda is now teaching a fashion Magazines course at LIM College "The College for the Business of Fashion" in New York City
