The player will take control of both Bill and Ted as they travel through different time periods and talk to locals to help find the historical figures for their oral report in present day San Dimas. As in the film, if player doesn't finish the game in a set amount of time, the player fails the history report, thus losing the game.

*The game's manual comes in the form of a telephone directory.
*The game's credits utilise Bill and Ted's lingo referring to the graphics as "Bodacious Graphics", sound as "Triumphant Sound", and programing as "Excellent Programming".
*The game gives itself an ME rating for "Most Excellent".
*The game also featured other historical figures that were not in the film. Such asMichaelangelo ,Albert Einstein , andMarie Antoinette . Ironically, Antoinette was in the rough draft of the film.See also
