the Five and heads of thePentadrian religion inTrudi Canavan 's Age of the Five fantasy trilogy.Background
The Voices of the Gods are powerful magicians of the Pentadrian religion who rule the south of Ithania. Elected from the most talented and popular of the Dedicated Servants, they dress entirely in black and are gifted with enhanced powers, including immortality, by the Five, whom they are sworn to serve. Their counterparts in the Circlian religion and North Ithania are their archenemies, the White. The Voices often breed magically mutated beasts to serve them in battle, such as Genza and her birds of prey, or Shar and his vorns.
