Aaron Albert Mossell II (1863-1951) was the first African-American to graduate from the
University of Pennsylvania Law School and the father ofSadie Tanner Mossell Alexander . Canada ; and his mother was Eliza Bowers. By 1870 the family was living in Lockport, Niagara County,New York .Mossell attended Lincoln University and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Law School in 1888, the first African-American to do so.
