(Waite Hoyt, Claude Sullivan)|The Cincinnati Reds' 1964 season consisted of the Reds finishing in a second-place tie with the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League, with a record of 92-70, one game behind the NL and World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals. The Reds were managed by Fred Hutchinson (60-49), who resigned in August, due to health issues, and Dick Sisler (32-21). Hutchinson died in November 1964, at the age of 45. The Reds' home games were played at Crosley Field.
