Pandit Keshav Ginde

Pandit Keshav Ginde comes from a musical family and started his musical training at age 6. He began playing the flute during worship of their family deity, Lord Krishna and later acquired advanced training under the guidance of Late Pt. Devendra Murdeshwar, disciple and friend of the world-famous Pt. Pannalal Ghosh. He has won many accolades and awards and has performed on All India Radio and Doordarshan for more than 4 decades. He is credited with the designing of a new flute, which he has named “Keshav Venu”, which can produce 3.5 octaves as against the maximum of 2.5 octaves achieved by other flautists. Thisspecial flute is 42” long and has tremendous versatility and its melody has an ethereal quality that magically transforms the atmosphere. This flute has been kept in the Archives of Sangeet Natak Academy,Delhi,the music institute for study of different world instruments.This flute has also been recognized by the Limca Book of Records as the only flute that can produce 3.5 octaves
