The Tit-Tyrants are a group of small, mainly Andean, tyrant flycatchers in the genus "Anairetes". It includes the genus "Uromyias", which formerly was recognized based on syringial and plumage characters, but now is known to be imbedded within "Anairetes". [Remsen, J. V., Jr., C. D. Cadena, A. Jaramillo, M. Nores, J. F. Pacheco, M. B. Robbins, T. S. Schulenberg, F. G. Stiles, D. F. Stotz, & K. J. Zimmer. 2007.
