- Pool noodle
A pool noodle (also known as a water log) is a cylindrical piece of
polyethylene foam sometimes hollow. Pool noodles may used by people of all ages while swimming. They are useful when learning toswim , for floating, for rescue reaching, in various forms of water play, and for aquatic exercise.A pool noodle connector is a piece of pipe made out of foam, slightly larger than a pool noodle so that it can connect two pool noodles by encasing the end of each. This allows larger structures to be built from pool noodles. There exist at least two-, four- and six-hole connectors.
Noodle Wars
Pool noodles can be used to make toy "weapons" like swords or spears. People simply cut a pool noodle in half and they have two "swords", because one half-length of a full noodle is about the length of a good sword. Alternatively, they can insert a piece of
PVC pipe into the noodle and use that as their handle. This however will increase the risk for injury. People can make many "weapons", using pipe or not; some examples with pipe are swords, long swords, spears, maces, war hammers or axes, and daggers. Examples without pipe are swords, long swords, spears, and daggers. Duct tape can also be used to join pieces of noodle together; thereby making the "blades" for axes. If you have a hollow noodle, you can fill it with water and blow on the end to spray your enemy.
