No, Ma'am, That's Not History
- No, Ma'am, That's Not History
[http://farms.byu.edu/display.php?table=transcripts&id=47 No Ma'am, That's Not History] was a booklet written by Latter-day Saint scholar Hugh Nibley criticizing the Joseph Smith biography "No Man Knows My History", by Fawn Brodie. In his booklet, Nibley asserted that Brodie had cited only sources supportive of her conclusions while conveniently ignoring others. Brodie dismissed Nibley's response as "a flippant and shallow piece". [Newell G. Bringhurst, "Fawn McKay Brodie: A Biographer's Life" (Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1999), 111]
