The Jersey Conservative Party is a political party in Jersey.

Formation

A comprehensive survey of the opinions of Jersey voters was commissioned from Progress Jersey.

In response to the survey results, based on the wishes of the people of Jersey, it was announced on 17 July 2007 that the Centre Party was to re-brand and would contest the next elections as the "Jersey Conservative Party" [Jersey Evening Post, 20th July 2007] .

Organisation

The Conservative party is organised along corporate lines; the activities of the party inside the house are under the direction of the party leader. Activities outside the legislature are under the control of the executive, headed by the party chairman, which consists of twenty people. Day to day operations are under the control of a chief executive officer.

Logo

The party logo is said to represent a stylised tree. An outline of the island of Jersey represents the foliage and there is a tree trunk apparently emanating from St Aubin's Bay.
