The Amazon River Frog, "Rana palmipes", is a species of frog in the Ranidae family.It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. In Spanish, it is known as "rana verde verdadera".

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, rivers, freshwater lakes, and freshwater marshes.It is not considered threatened by the IUCN.
